NaNoWriMo
I woke up this morning and realised that we are now enjoying the middle of October. November is almost here! And with the crisp autumn comes the annual NaNoWriMo. Write a 50 000 word novel between the beginning and end of November. The last time I participated tried to participate I couldn’t get past 10 000 words. That was around 2-3 years ago.
Now, I’m feeling motivated. Feeling fresh. Feeling good! I can do this (hopefully). I’ve got a few stories running in my head and it would be good to get something written down. One is very dark and the other is more about my life. I’m very shy about my writing so I tend not to share until I’m absolutely happy with it.
Anyone else participating? Feeling tempted? Go on, take the plunge. It doesn’t matter if you reach the goal or not. It’s the fact that you’ve tried. Want a writing buddy for midnight pep talks (or even motivational writing swaps)? Feel free to add me. Hello, I’m Sinta. =)

Definitely tempted. But probably not taking the plunge. I am going to be traveling for work three weekends in November, and I’m bracing myself for lots of runnings-around like a headless chicken. Blogging is prob all the writing I’ll get done. BUT, I am glad for your impetus and urge you on and say yay to you! Good luck. :)

I would love to do something like that but know I would never succeed now, too much else to do. November will be a busy month for me! eek!

Awesome, I just signed-up for this the other day :) Kees-Jan complete 50,000words last year, I was surprised lol So this year I thought I’d have a go. I’ll be sure to add you as a writing buddy. Do you have any clue what you’ll write about?

I have an idea what I’m going to write about :) it’s in the horror/thriller genre. I like the idea of something scary. Even eerie. I don’t want to give much away, because I’m very shy. But it’s quite bloody and gruesome. Usually I only write dark short stories, but I’m sure I can spin this off for a novel. How about you?

Sign up and have a look around :) If you’re still tempted, take the plunge! If not, it’s alright. It’s good research if you want to try for next year.
