Cake toppers & Crabbage

Hellooooo all! Sorry I’ve been quiet. Been very busy trying to sort out my last techie projects before I hit my two week holiday at full speed. Now that I have, I can’t seem to stop crafting. The biggest excuse? The wedding of course. I decided that I might as well mix my craft time with wedding preparation time.
I’ve started making my favor bags (will post about it soon), but have a bit of a conundrum with the cake toppers. I decided to get some unfinished ones so that I could put our own personal touch to it. One is definitely going to be a scientist with a lab coat (that’s Mr H), the other (me!) I’m still not sure. Here are some ideas, feel free to vote or just add more suggestions. help?
- Traditional bride in a white dress
- Pirate! Arrrrrr!
- Lady in red
- Artist (with a brush and palette)
- Any suggestions?!
All this thinking gave me a headache so I picked up a few live crabs from the town market for lunch today. Crab and crabbage! Easiest thing to prepare: Clean with running water (beware of their claws), fill a pot with a few inches of water and bring to a boil, pop crab into the pot and close lid, once really red in colour, give it an extra 5 minutes and then serve.

Hee, I popped over here courtesy of decor8 (must support other Filipinas!) — and I love this idea! Even though this is my first time over, I’d have to say I’d be a fan of seeing (a) + (d) — the traditional white dress with, say, a palette of paints or other preferred art medium in your hand (no bouquet)! Hee, good luck!

I go for J’s suggestion. I’m torn between the artist and lady in red.

I’ve seen a wedding cake using tiny figurines that we custom-made for the bride and groom, bearing their (caricature) images. Fun, I think :)
